I dreamed of a flood—

I’m sure it must have had
some deep, foreboding meaning…

You were there…

We weren’t afraid
or bothered by it much.

Thick brown water
crept closer
and closer
to where we were shopping—
but we just went up
some wooden stairs
and shopped on a higher floor.
